Veneers In West Windsor

If you’re self-conscious about your smile and living in West Windsor, East Windsor or Princeton Junction, Dr. Munira Sulaiman and Dr. Mandeep Singh of Smile Society General Dentistry can help patients through cosmetic dentistry. Do you have an issue with your smile? Have you considered a cosmetic dental treatment? With high-quality veneers, Dr. Singh or Dr. Sulaiman can restore your smile in just two short appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are a type of cosmetic dental prosthesis. They are similar to dental crowns, except while crowns cover your entire tooth, a veneer only covers the front surface. This makes veneers extremely versatile. They can be used to treat a wide variety of common cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • Stained and yellowed teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Uneven teeth
  • Gaps in your smile
  • Slightly crooked teeth

The Benefits Of Porcelain Veneers

  • Durability: With proper care, your veneers will last for 10-15 years.
  • Stain-resistant: The porcelain material used in veneers resists staining and yellowing, so your smile will continue to look beautiful for years after your procedure.
  • No special care: Porcelain veneers don’t require special care beyond regular brushing and flossing, and visits to Smile Society General Dentistry every six months. You can treat your veneers as you would your natural teeth, although you should refrain from eating particularly hard foods or chewing on non-food items.
  • Natural look: Porcelain has a similar transparency to enamel which makes veneers look and feel like your natural teeth. Dr. Singh or Dr. Sulaiman can choose a color that matches your existing teeth, for a subtle enhancement, or creates a brighter more beautiful smile.

What Can I Expect From The Veneer Placement Process?

It usually takes two appointments to place your veneers, and these appointments are spread out over a period of about 2-3 weeks. After Dr. Sulaiman or Dr. Singh has approved you for veneers, you’ll schedule your initial appointment at Smile Society General Dentistry.

At this appointment, Dr. Singh or Dr. Sulaiman will begin by cleaning and numbing the treatment area. Then, they will use a dental drill to remove a very thin layer of enamel (about 0.5mm) from each tooth that is getting a veneer. Next, they will take dental impressions and images of your teeth. Your impressions and images will be sent to a dental lab for manufacturing. You’ll also be fit with a set of temporary veneers to protect your teeth until your permanent veneers are ready.

In 2-3 weeks, your veneers should be completed and sent to Smile Society General Dentistry. Dr. Singh or Dr. Sulaiman will check the fit of each veneer and bond them into place permanently, completing the procedure.

Am I A Good Candidate For Veneers?

As long as your mouth is healthy and free of major problems like gum disease, tooth decay or serious orthodontic issues, you are likely a good candidate for veneers. To find out, we recommend scheduling a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Munira Sulaiman or Dr. Mandeep Singh at Smile Society General Dentistry. Together, you can explore your options and determine which cosmetic treatment is right for your needs and your budget.
